I. the monthly meeting was called to order at the home of Doug Eagleson, 425 E. 7^th Ave. , Escondido by ConnieSue Dickinson at 7:25 P.M.  Also present were Carol Rea, Dick Althouse,  Steve Rosefeld, and Chuck Johnson. Dianne Ferguson and Joyce Koppelman were absent.

 

II. Motion by Carol/seconded by Steve to approve the minutes of the April 5, 2006 BOD Meeting as printed. Passed by voice vote.

 

III. Committee Reports:

    A.  Finance-       as of 5/3/06     checkbook balance   $ 1891.54

    B.Quarterly Meeting -   July 13  Code Enforcement,    Lightning Strike Protection

   C.Welcome Comm.   No news to report

   D.Home Tour -    There was much discussion about job assignments and last minute details.

   E.Newsletter -  we are still in need of an editor

   F.Sidewalks and Traffic -  new sidewalk in 800 block of Juniper. ConnieSue talked to crew and also City to get correct “scoring “ of sidewalk to match the old style. This was achieved and sidewalks are correct.

   G. Website  - ConnieSue still working to upgrade site but needs help

   H. Tee Shirts   tabled

   I. By Laws  -   tabled

 

IV. Action Items :

   A. Gifts for Home Tour homeowners  - Motion by Dick/ second by Steve to buy a $50 gift certificate, flower arrangement, and do a color photo for each house on the tour. Passed by voice vote.

   B. The Board was asked to revisit the idea of passing out literature concerning the library ballot issue. It was decided not to allow this as we felt that it was a political issue and should not be allowed to occur at the Home Tour. Motion by Dick/ second by Carol ; passed by voice vote.

   C. ConnieSue talked to Rich Buquet and asked for help from the City to cut weeds and sweep the streets in the Neighborhood in prep for the Home Tour.

 

V. Old Business :

 VI.  New Business :

    A. Pioneer Room Calendar -    Carol made a motion / seconded by Doug to sponsor a page on the calendar for 2007 and have Dick contact the Pioneer Room and verify the $200.00 cost of such action and authorize Dick to spend that amount for the calendar page. Passed by voice vote.
