Old Escondido Neighborhood Board of Directors’ Meeting Sept. 8, 2005 I. The monthly meeting was held at the home of Carol Rea, 420 East 7th Ave. , Escondido and was called to order by President, ConnieSue D9ckinson, at 7:14 P.M. All Board members were present except Doug Eagleson.
II. Motion was made by Dianne / seconded by Joyce to approve the minutes of the August 11, 2005 BOD Meeting as presented. Passed by voice vote.
III. Committee Reports:
A. Finance- as of 8/11/05 checkbook balance $6301.09 B. Traffic / Sidewalks - Work should be finished by mid-November C. Home Tour - no date set for next meeting. D.Welcome- still no guidebooks We should look at update of book before printing . E.Newsletter - almost ready for proof read. Concern expressed by group that we only have 12 days till Quarterly Meeting. Deadline for November Letter is 11/12. F. Quarterly Meeting - Sept. 22 Jay Petrek , City Planner to discuss new bus routes. G. Grape Day - there was discussion to finalize set up for Grape Day Sept 10. H. Tee Shirts- discussion about give-away of shirts at Block Party. It was decided that the give-away was good P R for our organization. I. By-Laws – next meeting to be at Carol Rea’s house at 7:00 P.M. on Oct. 6th
IV. Action Items:
A. Create schedule for 2006. Carol will check with Public Library to see if she can secure dates for Quarterly Meeting. Third Thurs. Jan 19 April 20 July 20 Oct. 19 B. Neighborhood Board Representation by Sector- no discussion. Perhaps a topic for Quarterly Meeting and also discussion at By-Laws meeting. C. Associate Membership – Matt brought up concerns about the confusion that may arise, the effort versus return. And are there that many people out there to make effort worthwhile. D. Calendar for 2006 – tabled
