Board of Directors’ Meeting

August 11, 2005

I.   The monthly BOD Meeting was called to order at the home of Dianne Ferguson , 210 E. 6^th Ave. , Escondido by President , ConnieSue Dickinson at 7:16 P.M. All Board members were present except for Dick Althouse and Steve Rosefeld.

 II. Motion was made by Joyce Koppleman/seconded by ConnieSue to accept the BOD Minutes of July 14, 2005. Passed by voice vote.

 III. Committee Reports:

    A. Finance -    Treasurer was absent     $263.31 was spent on the Block Party

   B. Traffic / Sidewalks -    No new news to report

   C.  Home Tour -   first meeting to be at Doug Eagleson’s house August 16 to plan 2006

   D. Welcome – Doug needs more Guideline Books  ; may need to print some

   E.  Newsletter -    article deadline is 8/13/05       next one due 11/12/05

         There is a need for more articles and also some commitments to do regular features.

   F. Quarterly Meeting -     no discussion

   G. Block Party -    Great success !  

   H. T Shirts -    ConnieSue offered to pay for shirts she gave away at BBQ. “ Show me

         the money “ 

   I.  By- Laws   -    first meeting  7:00 P.M.  August 23  Board Room Public Library.

IV. Action Items

   A.  Carol Rea will be late for meeting due to workload at job    Arrived at 7:45

   B. Create calendar for 2006

             Matt Fox has agreed to be Web Master of OEN Website    some concerns

             expressed about content control , should group monitor   .org or .com 

              perhaps  we should all look at demo website  Better Homes.com for ideas

   C.Grape Day -    OEN will participate in Parade  Carol Rea , Adkins,ConnieSue to walk

                                Grape Day Park Booth-  Steve to get “Easy –Up “ canopy

                                 Dick to bring backdrop board , T-shirts, and cash box

                                 Doug to set up booth, ice, tub, tablecloth , drinks

                                ConnieSue  to bring easel

                                 Carol  bring paint colors display

                                 Dianne   call everyone and coordinate

   D. Neighborhood Sector Representation       no discussion

   E.  Hotel and Downtown Parking Sructure   Public Meeting Aug. 22  Council
