The monthly meeting was called to order by President, ConnieSue Dickinson, at the home of Steve Rosefeld, 624 E. 8th Ave. , Escondido, at 7:14 P.M.. Also present were Dick Althouse, Joyce Koppleman, Dianne Ferguson, and Doug Eagleson.

Motion made by Dianne/ seconded by Steve to approve minutes of Aug. 11, 2004 BOD Meeting;    passed by voice vote.

Committee reports

A. Finance -

B. Traffic/Sidewalks

C. Welcome Committee

Doug will visit 3 new neighbors and deliver Book.  List of new supplied neighbors by Marilyn Prado.

D. Home Tour

Next meeting at the home of Stuart and Robin Rivers Sept. 22, 2004 at 6:00 P.M.   Potluck

A. Newsletter-

Articles were to be in by Sept. 1 . Edited and printed in time to be mailed out before Oct. 14 Quarterly Meeting

B. Website

Everyone quite pleased with it. ConnieSue still seeking input to improve it.

C. Tee Shirts

Must promote these more. Will take to Grape Day Festival to sell at OEN booth.

D. City Website

Steve Rosefeld will check with Jay Petrek at Planning Dept. to offer Steve's time to take photos of older houses to put on City Website as well as our own site.

Old Business:

A. OEN By Laws

There is a committee of 6 people so far to review and make some recommendations about possible changes.

B. Guidelines Books

Rich Buquet at City Planning has arranged for us to get 50 copies from city. Dick will go to city to pick them up. C. Quarterly Meeting- Oct. 14, 2004 at Turrentine Room at Public Library. Police, Fire Depts., and City Manager to make 30 minute pitch about ballot measure in November for bond issue. Dianne Ferguson to present talk on antique quilts. Steve Rosefeld to present results of OEN Survey.

New Business:

A. New committees

In order to make this group more efficient and to spread the workload, we need to form some working committees, more discussion later.

B. Events Checklist

     Notebook

It would make sense to make up a notebook for each major event with all pertinent info so that we could hand this book to someone and they could run an event easily with success. ConnieSue and Dick are working on some ideas
