August 11, 2004 Board Meeting Minutes
A regular monthly meeting of the Old
Escondido Historic District Board of Directors was held at Joyce Koppelman’s
home on Wednesday evening, August 11, 2004. Called to order at 7:25 pm, it
was attended by, ConnieSue Dickinson, Joyce Koppelman, Steve Rosefeld,

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Finance:
No finance report as the treasurer, Dick Althouse was not in attendance, .
Traffic/Sidewalks
no updates on this topic however the condition of the alleys in the
neighborhood was discussed.
ANNOUNCEMENTS/ACTION ITEMS
Banner:
The OENG Banner has been missing since the Mother’s Day Home Tour display
across the city street. ConnieSue to ask Dick to follow up..
Grape Day:

NEW BUSINESS.
Nomination
of Doug Eagleson to the OE board of Directors was made by Steve Rosefeld,
2nd by ConnieSue Dickinson and passed by unanimous votes. (Dick Althouse
vote via telephone).
Nomination of Dianne Ferguson to the OE
board of Directors was made by ConnieSue Dickinson, 2nd by Joyce Koppelman
and passed by unanimous votes. (Dick Althouse vote via telephone).
It was
mentioned that Lucy Berk offered to have cookies at her home after the Xmas
Parade this year because she has been unable to attend in the recent past
due to the steep stairs at the Circle of Quiet.
Formation of committees
and check lists for the events discussion was tabled until next board
meeting
Diane Ferguson brought
up a discussion regarding her feelings that owner occupied and rental status
of the neighborhood is changing again.
Diane volunteered to
give a presentation on quilts at the next quarterly meeting on October 14.
NEXT MEETING AND
ADJOURNMENT
The next
monthly board meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8 at
the Steve Rosefeld’s home at 624 E. 8th Avenue.
The meeting was
adjourned at 9:41 pm.
