ConnieSue announced that in March we can have a half table at a historical function in San Marcos to sell tickets and promote the Historic District
Agreed that ticket prices should be increased, $12.50 pre sale, $15 at door
Tickets need to be available at least 2 months prior to event – they will be 1/3 sheet and can be exchanged for program at any of the houses. Warning that if tickets are sold out, they won’t be available day of tour. Ticket sales to be limited to 1,000 and they will be promoted as limited in number.
Need to track number of tickets printed, distributed, sold, number of booklets to each house tracked to count visitors. Will create downloadable ticket order form on Internet site
Carol met Marie-Jo Dulade-Coclet, who is part of a historic dance and costume group and willing to contact other members for docenting and demos
Agreed that we should order 2 Porta Pottis this year – locations to be determined, noted in program
Doug Eagleson will provide the recipe and volunteers can get together for a lemon-squeezing, base-making party.
Lunches for docents – Lynn and Peggy to price deli sandwiches, etc.
Next meeting will discuss program and advertising
Reviewing other district’s home tour rules and Q&A to adopt as our own.
